Review: Stardom – 2018.02.10

Miranda & Hanan vs. Ruaka & Kaori Yoneyama
A pretty good opener. Hanan has started to add new moves to her repertoire as she showed off some new throws against Kaori Yoneyama. Ruaka just about hit a blockbuster suplex on Miranda. The rest of the match was fairly standard. Miranda submitted Ruaka for the win. 2/5 

Team Jungle (Jungle Kyona & Natsuko Tora) vs. Nicole Savoy & Xia Brookside
There was lots of passion in this and the work was generally good though it lacked in real high quality moments to take it above just being a standard mid-card match. Jungle Kyona and Nicole Savoy had a few nice exchanges with stiff shots from both and some nice submissions from Savoy. Natsuko Tora pinned Xia Brookside for the win. 2.75/5

After the match Natsuko challenged Xia for the IPW Women’s Belt and Jungle Kyona challenged Nicole Savoy for the Shimmer Belt.

Starlight Kid & Shiki Shibusawa vs. Hiromi Mimura & Konami
Another match that featured good work but didn’t really stand out. There were a couple of comedy moments from everyone and some nice transitions by Konami. Starlight Kid pinned Hiromi Mimura for the win. 2.5/5

After the match Hiromi Mimura announced that she is retiring on March 28th at Korakuen Hall.

Oedo Tai (Kagetsu, Hana Kimura & Sumire Natsu) vs. Mayu Iwatani, Tam Nakano & Mari Apache
This had some of the best in-ring storytelling Stardom has done. Oedo Tai really beat on Tam Nakano throughout the match and the emotion from Hana and the selling from Tam was brilliant throughout. Kagetsu and Mayu added a lot of great technique to the match, in particular a crazy-looking bridge German suplex by Mayu. It was a really high quality match all the way to the bell which ended it as a time-limit draw. 4.25/5

Tam, Hana and Kagetsu all contributed to a great promo after the match to set up the Goddesses of Stardom tag match which will be at Korakuen Hall.

Io Shirai & AZM vs. Momo Watanabe & HZK
Great match. Io took a lot of punishment through most of the match as Momo and HZK worked well together to prevent her tagging out. It actually was well over 10 minutes before AZM entered the match. She delivered a great dropkick to Momo who was leaning on the bottom rope. Everyone worked very stiff throughout and with Io eventually incapacitated outside the ring Momo hit the avalanche double knees for the win. 4.25/5

After the match Stardom announced the debuts of three rookies throughout March and the return of Saki Kashima.
