Review: STARDOM – 2021.09.12

Lady C vs. Utami Hayashishita
Hayashishita dominated early on until Lady C hit a big boot to the face. It was then back and forth with some stiff strikes from Hayashishita and a nice chokeslam from Lady C. Hayashishita hit a dropkick form the middle rope for a near fall before they traded pinning combinations. Utami Hayashishita got the pin for the win. It was a good opener.  2.5/5

Waka Tsukiyama vs. Mina Shirakawa
Another solidly worked match. Shirawawa worked a stiff style throughout and Tsukiyama sold well and had great facial expressions. A good showcase for both. Mina Shirikawa got the win with a half crab submission. 2.5/5

Mai Sakurai vs. Natsupoi
Natsupoi dominated most of the match but Sakurai looked good in the few spots she got in. Natsupoi won with the Faerial Gift. 2.5/5

Ruaka vs. Takumi Iroha
These two have great chemistry together! It was very physical match with both giving and taking a lot of stiff shots. Takumi Iroha won via sleeperhold. 3/5

Momo Watanabe vs. Koguma
The first half of this match was dominated by Watanabe with Koguma largely limited to roll up attempts. The second half was more even with some great counters from Koguma. Momo Watanabe won with a brutal Peach Sunrise. 3.25/5

AZM vs. Tam Nakano
A great match. Really hard-hitting and inventive throughout. AZM was in control early on hit a slightly clumsy, but brutal looking footstomp onto the apron which looked like it hurt both. Nakano showed her usual natural charisma and great stroytelling as the match went on. Tam Nakano pinned AZM with the Twilight Dream to win. 3.75/5

Unagi Sayaka vs. Syuri
A slower, more deliberate match than the proceeding few. It was very hard hitting and both women looked great. Syuri submitted Unagi Sayaka with the White Tiger. 3.5/5

Maika vs. Saya Kamitani
A very good main event. It was back and forth throughout and saw some huge moves including an avalanche suplex from the middle rope. Saya Kamitani pinned Maika after a Frankensteiner.  3.75/5
