Review: Stardom – 2017.12.03

Hiromi Mimura vs. Ruaka
A pretty basic, but solid, opener. Having Hiromi added a little more character but the wrestling was still the same as most Stardom openers. Hiromi Mimura pinned Ruaka for the win. 2/5

Hanan vs. Konami
Good match and a step up for Hanan. She received a lot of punishment throughout and while I think her screams were slightly over the top, her selling was good. Konami submitted Hanan for the win. 2.5/5

Shiki Shibusawa vs. Starlight Kid vs. Mari Apache
Another good match. Shiki continued her recent improvement and looked solid throughout, including taking a Mexican Surfboard from Mari Apache. Starlight Kid got a shock win by rolling up Mari Apache. She then challenged Apache for the High Speed Championship. 2.75/5

Oedo Tai (Kagetsu, Hana Kimura & Sumire Natsu) vs. Natsuko Tora, Jungle Kyona & Yoko Bito
I’d have liked to see a little more wrestling in this match considering the talent involved but it was still a fun and entertaining watch. Oedo Tai are still doing the angle with Tam Nakano & Hana Kimura having problems with the newest member Sumire Natsu. It featured heavily in this match with both Tam & Hana repeatedly either hitting Sumire or putting her in positions where she would get hit. It eventually cost them the match as Natsuko Tora pinned Sumire Natsu for the win. 3.25/5

Queen’s Quest (Io Shirai, HZK, Momo Watanabe & AZM) vs. World Selection (Kelly Klein, Bea Priestley, Scarlett & Chardonnay) (4 on 4 Elimination Tag)
Fun, chaotic but messy in parts. Everyone had small moments to shine but overall the match wasn’t pretty, even if it was very entertaining. AZM was eliminated first by Bea. Bea then eliminated HZK by dropping her rather heavily over the top rope onto the apron. HZK got her revenge by assisting Io in eliminating Bea. Momo then pinned Scarlett before Kelly Klein threw Io over the top rope and pinned Momo Watanabe for the win. 3.5/5
